A KNACKERED ram got wedged in a concrete pipe after taking refuge from a flock of nine “amorous” ewes.
Bulky Rambo, who weighs 15st 10lbs, headed into the culvert to take a rest from his duties but ended up having to be freed by firefighters.

The crews used chimney rods and ropes to winkle him out after managing to slip a sheet beneath his bulk.
Owner Bex Maynard said Rambo emerged completely unharmed on Sunday from the pipe at Western Farm in Kingsdon, Somerset.
She joked: “Rambo maintains that he was simply taking a well-earned break from his romantic duties.
“To be fair, there are nine rather amorous ewes all competing for his undivided attention and a chap is entitled to a little peace and quiet occasionally.”

She added: “Judging by Rambo’s expression, he emerged considerably less concerned by the whole episode than everyone else involved.
“We cannot thank the crews enough for coming out, taking such care of the daft bugger and getting him safely out.”
