CONSTITUTION HILL is set for a shock Bahrain adventure – after Nicky Henderson uncovered a surprising new target for his stable star.

The former Champion Hurdle king won’t need his passport for the Melbourne Cup after failing to qualify on his most recent run.

But Seven Barrows boss Henderson has found a lucrative race in the Middle East in November.

The newly-created Gulf of Bahrain Cup over 1m6f could come into play for the former Champion Hurdle winner on November 13.

Ironically, that is the same day Cheltenham’s November meeting starts.

But first – and much more likely – are two Group 3s at home.

Henderson is trying to find the right races for Constitution Hill after the nine-year-old code-switcher was given an official rating of 108 following his fourth-placed finish in the September Stakes.

He has faced calls to retire the punter favourite – but Sun Racing columnist Matt Chapman has been among those insisting such pleas are nonsense.

Henderson has been busy scouring the program book to find suitable races for the ex-Supreme champ.

And it looks like it could take him to some unlikely destinations.
