PAOLO MALDINI’S son has been suspended from driving after being discovered to be nearly twice the legal alcohol limit, according to sources.
Daniel Maldini was said to be driving at 5.15am with three passengers on Sunday morning, when he failed to give way to a VW Golf and caused a collision.

The 24-year-old in his Porsche Carrera 4 reportedly failed to give way to the Golf – carrying two people – and caused it to collide with a parked Mercedes SUV.
At the intersection, north of Milan, the Straits Times (ST) said local police recorded Maldini’s blood alcohol level to be 0.91 grams per litre.
And the second test reportedly measured 0.89g/l. The legal limit is 0.5.
Due to the measures recorded, the son of iconic Italy and AC Milan defender Paolo, will face charges for driving under the influence.

In Italy, a blood alcohol level of 0.8 to 1.5 would indicate the offence is criminal, meaning a fine from €800 to €3,200 (around £650 to £2,740), up to six months jail, and/or licence suspended six to 12 months.
And penalties have been known to increase if the offence happens between 10pm and 7am, or if a collision is caused.
It is also claimed he underwent a drugs test while in police custody.
The Gazzetta reports note that the police carried out an initial rapid drug screening at the scene of the crash – which showed a preliminary positive result.

Meanwhile, the ST police source revealed that the hospital conducted drug tests, but there could be a four-day wait for results.
Danilo Buongiorno, Maldini’s lawyer, declined to comment on the reports.
Either way, the authorities need legitimate hospital laboratory toxicology tests to confirm or cancel the first test.
One person was treated at the scene, where three ambulances and a medical car were dispatched – while the others were transported to hospital for evaluation.
All six people were treated with minor injuries.
Maldini found himself in Milan’s Fatebenefratelli Hospital, but he was released later that morning.
On Monday morning, his club said: “Cagliari Calcio announces that the player Daniel Maldini, following reports that have surfaced in the press in the last few hours, has undergone toxicology tests.
“All tests performed have returned negative results.
“The player will be regularly present with the group this afternoon when training resumes ahead of the team’s upcoming matches.”
The turn of events is a stark change from Maldini’s heroic efforts for Cagliari in their Serie A showdown at Atalanta.
Maldini’s second-half penalty-kick secured the Saturday night 2-1 victory, leaving them fourth in the league with three wins and one loss.
The third-generation ace – who has made six appearances for the national team – has veered off the trodden defensive path of his dad and grandad.
Instead, the Milan academy product made 24 senior appearances for the Serie A giants up front before moving across Spezia, Empoli and Monza.
