Marks & Spencer is launching ‘surprise’ bags with over £10 worth of treats for just £3.80

MARKS & SPENCER is offering customers a new way to bag its baked goods – and it comes at a massive discount.

The surprise bags will be rolled out to more than 300 stores across the nation.

M&S has partnered with Too Good To Go for the first time, offering shoppers a new way to bag the retailer’s baked goods for less than £4.

Through the Too Good To Go app, surprise bundles of three to four M&S bakery items will be offered from Monday to Saturday, around one hour before stores close.

Priced at just £3.80, each bag will contain surplus items worth a minimum of £10.20 – offering shoppers an almost 40 per cent discount on baked goods.

The nationwide rollout follows a successful trial in a number of M&S stores over the past few months, which was brought in an effort to reduce food waste.

The app, founded in 2015, offers consumers bundles of surplus, unsold food at a heavy discount from restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets.

The availability of the bags will vary daily depending on the store and time.
