THIS is the shocking moment cops uncover around one-tonne of meth disguised as hundreds of cabbages at the US-Mexico border.
Footage shared by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) shows officers seizing a shipment of cabbages packed into several boxes.

Cops wearing blue nitrile gloves can be seen peeling back outer layers of cabbages to reveal a large latex pellets of methamphetamine.
The camera pans to show hundreds of cabbages being unwrapped, with six wheelbarrows and dozens of boxes full to the brim with drugs.
The DEA said that it had netted an around one-tonne stash.
The agency added that the seizure was made by its team in McAllen, a border city across from Reynosa, Mexico.

The DEA said: “On Tuesday, the McAllen office seized over 2,000 pounds of methamphetamine concealed in a commercial tractor-trailer shipment of cabbage,
“No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.”
It added that the seizure was part of a Homeland Security Taskforce probe, conducted jointly with federal border agencies and Texas enforcement.

Police have been battling a meth epidemic across the US, caused in part by Mexican drug runners smuggling it into California.
Border cops discovered a similar shipment of suspected meth hidden in cabbage near McAllen in July.
A sniffer dog and imaging scan found half a tonne of the drug at the Pharr International Bridge.
Informally known as crystal meth, or ice, methamphetamines are highly addictive stimulants.
It is also known as “speed” or “crank” for its ability to give people a false sense of energy.
It can cause a person to lose weight quickly and lead to dental problems, skin sores and other health issues.
The dangerous drug also severely damages the brain, causing memory loss, paranoia and even psychosis.
In March, a man bled to death after cutting off his own penis with a penknife while high on the drug.
Ryan Dexter Sutherland, 31, was found with more than 20 stab wounds while also trying to chop off his arm after he had taken an “extreme” dose.
Although it wasn’t noted as a cause of death, he had a deadly blood concentrations of 1.9 ug/mL for meth and .24 ug/mL for amphetamines.

He is presumed to have died from cuts to an artery and vein in his right arm and injuries in his neck that damaged his jugular vein and trachea.
