THE PUSSYCAT DOLLS are doing their first tour in 17 years as a trio – and fans can get some pre-show face time with singer Nicole Scherzinger for the cool sum of . . . £856.

The star is touring Europe with Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, but is offering fans a VIP meet-and-greet add-on to all her dates.

It comes after they decided not to invite back former members Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta, who had been due to take part in the 2020 reunion tour before it was axed.

Described online as the “ultimate experience”, the 1,000-euro gig package includes time with Nicole, a photo opportunity, access to a pre-show soundcheck performance and Q&A, as well as a chance to participate in Nicole’s pre-show ritual.

There is no more detail about what exactly this is, but she has previously described her concert preparation routine as lighting a candle and listening to calm, meditative music.

Speaking in 2024 when taking part in Sunset Boulevard on Broadway, she said: “Before the show, I’m usually in my dressing room doing vocal and physical warm-ups and focusing on breath. I try and protect that sense of calm before a show.”

In May, the American girl group cancelled almost the entire US leg of their forthcoming PCD Forever tour following poor ticket sales.

At the time, they released a statement saying: “After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the dates.”

This month, the Dolls will perform across Europe before arriving at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on September 29.

They then play gigs in Nottingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester and finally London.

The US rapper graces the cover of the mag and inside opens up about her recent split from NBA star Klay Thompson, calling it “rough”.

The Savage hitmaker said: “What’s meant for you is always going to work out. And if something is constantly making you feel uncomfortable, just on edge all the time, you probably are not supposed to be there.

“God will always make you uncomfortable if something is not meant for you.”

ROB: I GET ON JERRY WELL WITH MICK’S EX

COMEDIAN ROB BECKETT struck up an unlikely friendship with Mick Jagger’s ex-wife Jerry Hall after bonding on the set of Celebrity Traitors.

And now Rob hopes to get his own invite to Mick’s next birthday bash after attending the last one with Jimmy Carr but being “frogmarched” out for being too drunk.

Dad-of-two Rob admits: “I got on really well with Jerry, really well.

“She invited us to her house for lunch – me, my wife Lou and the kids – because we were chatting about Lou and the kids so much, she wanted to meet them.

“So we went to her house and had lunch. She’s amazing. She’s such an incredible woman and we just got on really, really well.

“We’re both really chilled and very family orientated.

“All she does is talk about her kids and stuff like that. She’s brilliant. The whole Traitors cast were amazing.”

From Tuesday, September 22, Rob will take over hosting duties from Paddy McGuinness on Channel 4’s Tempting Fortune.

The comic said of the reality show, which is now in its third series: “The temptations have really gone up a level.”

BILLY SMASHING IT WITH ORCHESTRA

★★★★★

SMASHING PUMPKINS frontman Billy Corgan has brought back the band’s 1995 rock masterpiece Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness, but this time with an orchestral twist.

With this show, at London’s Royal Festival Hall, split in to two acts, I was taken aback by how well this album lends itself to the full orchestral treatment.

Highlights for me were Corgan singing alt-rock anthem 1979 without a guitar in sight, as well as the normally heavy and feedback-loaded song Porcelina Of The Vast Oceans, transformed into an operatic marvel yet still staying true to the original feel of the song.

It was refreshing to hear such a familiar album interpreted in such a unique and unfamiliar way.

Gone are the heavy drum beats belted out by the band’s Jimmy Chamberlain and not a single guitar graced the stage.

Instead we were bombarded sonically with cellos, violins, a harp and a full-scale choir and the snarling vocals of Corgan were replaced for a large part of the show by sopranos and tenors.

An enjoyable performance that’s definitely a must for any die-hard Pumpkins fans.

HONEYZ BUZZING ABOUT COMEBACK

9

NINETIES girl band Honeyz are planning a 30-year anniversary tour for 2027, plus a new EP.

The Brit group, made up of Celena Cherry, her sister Candace and Heavenli Abdi , stormed the charts with hits including Finally Found and End Of The Line.

The girls have just released new single Butterflies – which they penned at the height of their fame but never released – and there’s a lot more music to come.

Celena said: “An album is definitely on the horizon and we’re in talks to come back next year with a 30th-anniversary tour.

“The thing about music is that it can take you back to a beautiful time in your life, and time really flies.”

Talking about going back to the studio, she added: “We actually wrote Butterflies 20 years ago and thought, ‘We have to share this with the world’. We have all these great songs but Butterflies just came out top.

“We got it reproduced and it’s had such a great loving from everyone. It’s amazing.”
