A WOMAN was rushed to hospital after allegedly being stabbed by a teenage migrant who tried to steal her handbag.
Cops were called to a suburb near Paris, France, to reports a woman had been violently attacked while waiting for a tram and knifed twice.
The alleged perpetrator, a 19-year-old man from Chad, reportedly stabbed the victim in the back and arm with a 10cm knife after she refused his demands.
Shocked witnesses said the alleged assault happened at 10am at a tram stop in Issy-les-Moulineaux.
The woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
Having failed to seize his victim’s bag, the alleged assailant fled on a tram but was arrested and taken into custody an hour later.

A knife matching the description of the weapon used was found in his backpack at the time of his arrest.
He is reportedly already known to police, with a history of 26 prior arrests for numerous violent offenses.
The suspect is a Chad national currently residing in Carrières-sur-Seine, a town 13 miles from the crime scene.
He reportedly arrived in France in 2016 at the age of 9 carrying a travel document for a minor foreign national.

His application for a residence permit submitted upon reaching the age of 18 is currently being processed.
It comes as a British man was arrested in France last month after allegedly raping and stabbing a woman in a frenzied attack.
The 49-year-old man is said to have carried out the assault in the Mediterranean city of Nice.
His victim, a 60-year-old woman was left with “severe neck injuries”.
At the end of August, two people were killed and 10 critically injured when a car slammed into a crowd of people in Normandy.
The driver, 26-year-old Russian national Ibrahim I., was arrested and is facing charges of murder and intentional violence with a weapon.
All victims are believed to be men aged between 17 and 40, who were near a local bar when the chaos struck.
Footage circulating online showed multiple people lying on the floor by a train platform as horrified witnesses crouch over them.
Bystanders claimed the BMW deliberately mounted the pavement before the victims were hit at speed.
