GOOD Morning America anchor Robin Roberts has changed up her schedule, and was absent from the morning show on Friday.
The longtime GMA host, 65, was not involved in the ABC show’s September 11 coverage.
Regular hosts Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos were joined by fill-in anchor Rebecca Jarvis.
Newly-announced official weekend anchor Whit Johnson joined the team live from the World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan.
It appears Robin took the morning off because she’s on the schedule to host ABC’s special coverage Friday night on the horrific terrorist attacks’ 25th anniversary.
Beginning at 8 pm et, Robin, alongside veteran anchors David Muir and Diane Sawyer, will host 9/11 Tribute in Light: Live from Lower Manhattan.
Robin is expected to be back at her regular post on Monday morning.
GMA has seen a shakeup in its weekend anchor coverage.
Earlier this week, ABC announced the new line-up for Saturday and Sunday mornings.
For Saturdays, newbie Rachel Scott will join Whit in the anchor chair, while Gio Benitez will be paired with Rhiannon Ally for the Sunday broadcast.
