DOLLY Parton has had her first single released after her death from cancer last month.
The country music legend passed away in August and was buried next to husband Carl Dean at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dolly, who wrote around 3,000 songs in her lifetime and recorded about 1,000, has now had her posthumous track released called, Bound to Ride, just two weeks after she died.
The singer recorded the vocals for the song in 2022 and it features on a Stanley Brothers tribute album due out on October 16.
Dolly recorded her vocals at the during a surge of Covid cases so she didn’t want to take any risks and stayed in her own studio to record her vocals the traditional song that was popularised by the Stanley Brothers in 1964, per Rolling Stone.
The song will appear on the album, Where the Soul Never Dies: Celebrating 80 Years of The Stanley Brothers and takes Dolly back to her mountain roots.

Dolly grew up in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennesse and the Appalachian sounds were often a theme throughout her music, so it is fitting her first posthumous single be a callback to her origins.
According to Rolling Stone, The First Ladies of Bluegrass — Alison Brown, Becky Buller, Sierra Hull, Missy Raines and Molly Tuttle sing the main vocals of the song, while Dolly recorded her part alone.
Produced by husband-and-wife duo Garry West and Alison Brown, the album is a nod to Carter and Ralph Stanley who helped pioneer bluegrass music that was a beloved genre of Dolly throughout her career.
“I call it the full Dolly. We didn’t know what we would get back, and she really did over-deliver. We were shocked. We couldn’t have gotten anything better,” Garry said of Dolly’s vocals on Bound to Ride.
