World’s biggest stadium with 115,000 capacity and cost £9BILLION to build ‘leaked’ as host of 2030 World Cup final

MOROCCO have seemingly leaked where they expect the 2030 World Cup final to be played, despite FIFA yet to make an official announcement.

Royal Moroccan Football Federation president Fouzi Lekjaa has confidently claimed the Grand Stade Hassan II in Benslimane will host the biggest game in world football.

The stunning new stadium is being built in Casablanca and is set to boast a staggering capacity of almost 115,000.

Speaking at an event held by the Authenticity and Modernity Party in Bouznika, Lekjaa said: “What you should know is that the province of Benslimane will have the honour of hosting the 2030 World Cup final.

“And God willing, may there be a final bringing together Morocco and France so that we can take our revenge.”

His comments came despite FIFA having yet to officially decide which stadium will stage the final.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2027, giving the venue three years to be tested and prepared before the World Cup kicks off.

But Spain has two heavyweight contenders of its own in Real Madrid‘s Bernabeu and Barcelona‘s Camp Nou.

The Bernabeu underwent a huge redevelopment between 2019 and 2024, transforming the iconic ground into a futuristic multi-purpose venue.

It now boasts a retractable roof, while its natural grass pitch can be split into sections and stored underground in a climate-controlled facility.

The stadium has also been wrapped in a futuristic steel facade and fitted with a giant 360-degree video screen around the upper tier.

Barcelona’s Camp Nou is also undergoing a mammoth redevelopment costing around £1.3billion, with the club aiming to eventually increase its capacity to around 105,000.

The iconic Camp Nou could prove particularly attractive to Spain given Barcelona’s influence on the national team.

Eight Barcelona players were included in Spain’s squad for their World Cup triumph this summer, with eight of the players also products of the club’s famous La Masia academy.
