ALISSON was hit with an £8,000 fine for booting the fourth official’s board after Liverpool’s 2-2 Prem draw with Nottingham Forest.

The Reds goalkeeper conceded a penalty when he fouled Neco Williams and Morgan Gibbs-White slotted home the spot-kick to put Forest 2-1 up at Anfield.

Video footage emerged after the game that showed Alisson, 33, kicking the board — used to display substitutions and injury time — as he left the pitch.

Now the Brazilian has been disciplined by the FA for his actions near the tunnel last month.

The fourth official’s board had not worked during the fixture when Liverpool were trying to make substitutions with the score at 1-1.

The ball was out of play on three occasions but the Reds were unable to make a change.

And Forest eventually earned their controversial penalty when Liam Delap took a quick throw-in to Williams, who went down in the area after Alisson had raced out to close down the chance.

An FA spokesperson said Alisson accepted a misconduct charge after it was alleged he “acted in an improper manner around the tunnel area”.

The full statement read: “Liverpool’s Alisson Becker has been fined £8,000 for misconduct at the Premier League fixture against Nottingham Forest on 29 August.

“It was alleged that the goalkeeper acted in an improper manner around the tunnel area after the final whistle.

“Alisson Becker has subsequently accepted the charge against him and received the standard penalty.“

The Key Match Incidents panel ruled on Wednesday the penalty should not have been given.

Although they also insisted it failed to meet the threshold for VAR to intervene.
