A GENIUS mechanic has smashed the world record for the thinnest car ever built after creating a driveable motor measuring just 19.5 inches.
The small but mighty Fiat Panda has earned its place among the world’s most unusual Guinness World Records.

The mastermind behind the build, 30-year-old Andrea Marazzi from Italy, began reworking the salvaged 1993 vehicle just 12 months ago.
His aim was simple – to create the thinnest car the world has ever seen.
Andrea said what started as a “silly idea at the junkyard” became a mission to create “something no one else has”.
With just enough space for Marazzi, the bonkers Panda is now fully roadworthy, sealing its status as the world’s slimmest car.

Guinness World Records recently officially recognised Marazzi’s accomplishment in Bagnolo Cremasco, Italy.
The sliced-down electric ride features a modified body, four wheels, a single headlight, and a solo seat.
But despite its dramatic downsizing, it still retains over 90 per cent of its original parts.
Affectionately named the Flat Fiat, it reaches a rapid top speed of 9.3 mph and weighs 582.02lbs.

Marazzi salvaged his record-breaking car from his family’s auto dismantling business, and he can often be seen zipping around narrow Italian streets in the wacky vehicle.
He credits his dyslexia for his inventive streak and hopes his achievement inspires others with learning difficulties to pursue their own offbeat dreams.
He said: “I chose the Panda because it’s famous around the world.
“There have been Pandas with bathtubs, Pandas made of wood, but nobody had made one this thin.”
Marazzi’s innovative vehicle has won wide praise for proving that smart engineering and recycled automotive parts can create a fully functional car.
One viewer commented on a YouTube video of his, calling the car a “work of art”.
Meanwhile another said: “Fantastic idea but above all it seems to me to be excellent workmanship.”
