TELLY legends Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have made a surprising revelation about losing out at the National Television Awards.
Ant and Dec, who are currently in Canada filming I’m A Celebrity… The Wild Frontier, walked away from the awards empty handed for the first time in 25 years.

The presenting duo lost out on a whopping four categories – Best Presenter, Best Reality Competition, Best Quiz Show and Best Talent Show.
Now, in a new episode of their podcast, Hanging Out With Ant & Dec, they had a very surprising chat.
They decided to predicted the winner of one of the awards they were up for on Tuesday – and their answer is not what fans might have expected.
Dec said: “So National Television Awards this week. We are recording this before the event, so we have no idea what is going to happen.

“We are nominated in a few categories, most notably Entertainment Presenter… Think you’re going to win it this year Ant?”
“I don’t think we’re going to win it this year,” admitted Ant.
Dec replied: “Do you not? Who do you think is going to win it this year?”
Ant said: “David Attenborough.”

“You would think so,” added Dec.
Ant continued: “Well, it’s got to be, hasn’t it? It’s David Attenborough. He’s a hundred years old.
“There’s been a lot of programs with him in it, and he’s a national treasure.”
They then revealed who they’d voted for.
Dec announced: “Can I let you in on a little secret? I voted for him.”
Ant questioned: “For David Attenborough? So did I.”
Dec didn’t believe him until he admitted, “Well you can’t vote for yourself can you?”
Meanwhile, Dec confessed that he usually votes for himself but on this occasion he decided not to.
David Attenborough was crowned Best Presenter this year, beating out Ant and Dec, Stacey Solomon, Claudia Winkleman and Alison Hammond.
Sadly their losing streak didn’t end there, with their famous I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here being beaten by BBC‘s The Celebrity Traitors in the Best Reality Competition category after the series skyrocketed onto the telly scene last year.

The pair ended the night losing out on the Best Talent Show category to Strictly Come Dancing.
