CHELSEA’s Carabao Cup clash against Leeds United has been delayed due to issues with the rail network.
The announcement was made in the stadium over the tannoy, much to the dismay of Leeds supporters who chanted “I want to go home”.
Both sets of players are out on the pitch warming up at Stamford Bridge, and will not be rushing their rondos and stretches with an extra 15 minutes before kick-off.
There is a part suspension on the District Line for fans trying to get to the stadium, between Embankment and Earl’s Court, where many fans depart their trains and walk to the ground.
There is also a suspension between Edgware Road and High Street Kensington.
There are also ‘severe delays’ on the rest of the line, say TFL.
