A BODY has been found in the search for a 15-year-old who was swept out to sea nearly two weeks ago while on a family holiday.
The teenage boy went missing in the water after entering the sea with his dad on August 30, with rescue services launching a massive search.

It followed reports of a family of three from Yorkshire – understood to be a dad and two sons – getting into difficulty at Marloes Sands in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
Local Councillor Claire George said it is understood the boy was in the water when he hit his head on rocks and was knocked unconscious.
The other members of the group were able to get themselves to safety.
Emergency services including the RNLI, HM Coastguard and police called off the search at Marloes Sands after nearly 24 hours.

A spokesperson said: “Sadly, we can confirm that a body has been found during the search for a 15-year-old boy who was reported to have gotten into difficulty at Marloes Sands, Milford Haven on Sunday 30 August.

“Next of kin have been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this time.”
Marloes Sands is a popular “hidden gem” beach in the tourist hotspot of Pembrokeshire but it can experience strong currents and challenging sea conditions.

Cllr George, who represents the St Ishmael’s ward on Pembrokeshire Council, said her heart went out to the boy’s family and described it as a “dreadfully upsetting” incident.
“It’s my understanding that there were a lot of people on the beach who stood up to assist as much as they could (when the group got into difficulties).
“I think you cannot warn people enough about the danger of the sea. It looks sunny and bright and does not take much to change.
“It is my understranding he hit his head on a rock and had gone unconscious and the water took him. You can’t have a lifeguard on every beach. Marloes Sands is a remote beach.
“This is a tragedy. It is really heartbreaking. It is very painful for the family.”
Dyfed-Powys Police said at the time: “Dyfed-Powys Police received a request for assistance from HM Coastguard, following a report of three people getting into difficulty at Marloes Sands, Milford Haven on Sunday 30 August.
“Two of the three individuals self-rescued, returning themselves safely to shore.
“A 15 year-old boy, visiting on holiday from the Yorkshire area, remains unaccounted for, and a multi-agency search was launched.”
It comes after a summer of tragedy where several people have died in lakes, rivers and the sea.
