Appearing on Canada’s The Morning Show, Gary claimed that bosses have already chosen an actor to be Daniel Craig’s successor.
“It’s been rumored that [Jack Lowden is] on the shortlist,” said Gary of his pal when asked about the coveted role.
He continued: “We’re going to find out pretty soon, aren’t we? Because they have picked him.
“They have made their choice, but they have not announced it yet. So my fingers are crossed for Jack.”

Last month, it was said that screentests were underway as of early September for the upcoming Bond role.
Following years of speculation, with stars such as Jacob Elordi and Henry Cavill leading the pack, little-known actor Jack Barton is said to be a new contender for the role.
He only first began acting professionally in 2020 with his most notable roles being Netflix‘s Heartstopper and the BBC SAS: Rogue Heroes in 2025.
US outlet Page Six reported last month that he was “leading the pack”.
