Don’t Look Back In Anger goes behind the scenes of the band’s Live ’25 comeback tour, with cameras following them every step of the way.

The film also includes previously unseen footage and the Gallaghers’ first joint interview in more than 20 years.
Its title comes from one of Oasis’ most iconic tracks, which topped the UK singles chart in 1996.

Noel Gallagher’s X-rated reaction to iconic Oasis reunion moment revealed
The documentary had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 5.
It runs for just over two hours, charting the reunion that saw Noel and Liam return to the stage together with Oasis in 2025 – 16 years after the band split back in 2009.
The Live ’25 tour kicked off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 4, 2025, before taking the band around the world and ending in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on November 23.

It combines footage from the shows with access to rehearsals and backstage moments as Liam and Noel rebuild their working relationship following years apart.
Disney says it also looks at the emotional impact of the reunion on fans around the world and what Oasis’ music continues to mean to different generations.
The synopsis reads: “Don’t Look Back In Anger charts Liam and Noel Gallagher’s triumphant reunion tour, Oasis Live ’25, one of the most anticipated rock ‘n’ roll comebacks of our time.
“The film is an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world.
“The unique perspective includes rehearsal, backstage, and onstage access as well as the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 20 years.
“Alongside the band’s sold-out world tour, the film also explores the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide.”
The film comes from Peaky Blinders creator and new James Bond writer Steven Knight.
It was directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the filmmaking duo behind music docs including Shut Up and Play the Hits, and Meet Me in the Bathroom.
Steven said: “The Oasis world tour united generations, cultures and countries and spoke to a broken world about reconciliation.
“Don’t Look Back In Anger is not only your ticket to the show – it’s a backstage pass and a seat at the table when Liam and Noel sit down together for the first time in 15 years and tell it how it is and how it was.”

In their directors’ statement, Dylan and Will explained: “We set out to make a film about the reconciliation of two brothers, infamous for their volatile relationship, but we also wanted to make a film about the power of music and the way Oasis’ songs have continued to have a life of their own, as the band lay dormant for 15 years.
“The documentary, like the reunion and the tour, took on a life of its own.”
Hidden cameras were installed in the rehearsal room so Noel and Liam could interact without a film crew constantly in their faces.
The approach produced candid footage as the brothers gradually rebuilt their relationship.
Dylan told Variety: “We didn’t want it to feel mediated. We didn’t want it to feel like there’s an annoying camera crew running around getting in their way.
“And we were aware of how sensitive it was, and that this was literally the first time they’d been in a room together for a prolonged period for 15 years.”
He continued: “It’s the Gallaghers, it’s not Dawson’s Creek. They’re not gonna sit down and talk about their emotions.”
Dylan added: “There was definite tension. And, from our perspective as observers, that didn’t dissipate until that first moment when the expectant energy of the crowds met the nervousness of the band.”

The first chance to watch Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger will be on the big screen from September 9.
It is being shown in cinemas and select IMAX screens, with advance tickets already on sale through participating venues.

Disney has confirmed the documentary will stream exclusively on Disney+ later in 2026, but an exact date has not yet been announced.
