THE booze was flowing and the banter was off the charts as Oasis took over London’s Leicester Square last night.
And I had a front row seat, as Noel and Liam Gallagher invited me down to watch their new documentary, Don’t Look Back In Anger.

Edith Bowman introduced Noel and Liam — with the latter whipping up the crowd inside the cinema.
There were celebs at every turn, including all of the Oasis kids, from Liam’s Gene, Lennon and Molly, along with Noel’s Anais, Sonny and Donovan, and the complimentary popcorn was munched before the film even started.
Inside the Cineworld I spied Noel’s BFF Matt Smith, new Strictly host Josh Widdicombe, Celebrity Traitors’ Rob Beckett, sports agent Dave Gardner and Radio 2 DJ and Oasis superfan Vernon Kay.
I’ve covered many film premieres in my time but the atmosphere for Steven Knight’s film about the band was off the charts.

Fans, many of who started arriving at the venue from 4pm, were kitted out in their best Nineties clobber.
Luckily for Noel, who said he didn’t want to watch the film again because it makes him too emotional, the brothers were then whisked away to appear at the IMAX in Waterloo.
And then it was time for the party to begin, with the Gallaghers laying on a massive bash at private members’ club 180 after the screenings ended.
Talking about the film, directors Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern said they felt like bouncers as they watched Noel and Liam reunite.

On Radio X yesterday, Dylan said: “We were like CCTV security guards, but we had to be watching the preparation for the biggest rock ’n’ roll comeback ever.”
When asked about Noel’s reaction to playing live with Liam again, Dylan added: “It really affected Noel.
“He even says at one point he wishes he could’ve called a time out and gone back to the dressing room because he just wasn’t prepared for it.”
Fans, who can watch Don’t Look Back In Anger in cinemas from tomorrow, are counting down to the formal announcement of the band’s 2027 tour.

I exclusively revealed that Noel and Liam, alongside Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell, Joey Waronker and Christian Madden were going back on the road last month.
And over the weekend, I revealed Oasis will play shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Paris, Munich, Rome, Ireland, Las Vegas, Boston, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Knebworth — where they will make history with six huge performances.
The band last night released another Easter egg clip teaser for the tour — this time for their gigs in Amsterdam.
Oasis were famously kicked out of Holland in 1994 after they got a bit rowdy on the boat over, which scuppered their first European tour before it had even started.
More than 10million Brits tried to get their hands on tickets for the band’s first run of 41 dates last year.
And I expect the demand for 2027 to be no different.

AMERICAN rock group Cage The Elephant – who release their song Dying In Reverse on Friday – will tour the UK and EU next year.
The band, fronted by Matt Shultz, play Cardiff, Leeds, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester in February, ending at London’s Alexandra Palace on March 1.

TREVOR NELSON stole former colleague Zoe Ball’s thunder as he returned to the Radio 2 airwaves yesterday.
He was heard on the airwaves again just an hour after Zoe launched her weekday afternoon show on rival Greatest Hits Radio.
Trevor took an indefinite break in June after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.
But he is making a staggered return following an operation.
Trev kicked off by playing Welcome Back by John Sebastian and Stevie Wonder’s Uptight (Everything’s Alright).
He told listeners: “I’m back on the best radio station ever. I feel like I’ve been hijacked this summer. Someone’s paid the ransom and freed me.
“It’s been an emotional and very difficult summer for me but I’ve got through with a lot of help from close friends and family, my management. My wife Pri has been amazing.
“It feels weird saying that people who I don’t know have helped me massively, but all the listeners, all the love has been overwhelming.
“In my darkest moments it really did help me through.
“This date was a target to come back on air. I was bugging my doctor.”
Meanwhile Zoe, who left her Radio 2 breakfast show job in 2024, began her show with I’ve Got The Music In Me by The Kiki Dee Band.
Admitting she was nervous, Zoe said: “I’m breathing. That’s what they said to me . . . ‘Remember to breathe’.”

LIZZO’s personality is anything but wooden – but the same can’t be said for her childhood pal.
She revealed: “I had a best friend that was a willow tree in Detroit I would sit in the willow tree and talk to the willow tree, and I would use the leaves of the willow tree.
“One day they drew a line across the tree. My mum told me, ‘They’re going to cut it down’.
“I was going to stand in front of the tree and be like, ‘If you’re going to cut this tree down, you have to cut me down’.”
The quirky singer added on the Armchair Expert podcast: “My mum was like, ‘You can do that but first, you got to go to school, honey’. I went to school, I came back, it was a stump. I was inconsolable. That was my best and only friend.”
Good thing she’s got a few more real mates now.
WANTED: LILY FOR GLASTO

LILY ALLEN has been officially approached by Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis to perform at next year’s festival, I can reveal.
Her career has gone from strength to strength ever since the release of her fifth album West End Girl last year, which resulted in two tours across Europe and North America.
If she accepts the invite to appear at Worthy Farm – and I can’t imagine she will turn the offer down – it will be her first time playing a full set there in 13 years.
A source said: “Emily loves Lily and sees her as one of Britain’s musical greats.
“Earlier this summer she officially asked Lily if she would play at Glastonbury next year.
“As long as her schedule allows it, I’m sure she will accept.
“Lily has a long history with Glasto, and to return to the festival after all this time would really be a sign she’s back to her best.”
In 2022, Lily surprised fans when she made a guest appearance with Olivia Rodrigo on the Other Stage.
While details are yet to be ironed out, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lily goes all the way to the Pyramid Stage come 2027.

NICOLE SCHERZINGER has no problem with leg room on this plane flight.
She shared a picture of herself performing the splits on a private jet, as she prepares to kick off the European leg of the Pussycat Dolls’ long-awaited reunion tour.
Nic will join Ashley Roberts and Kimberley Wyatt on stage in Copenhagen tomorrow ahead of the UK shows, starting at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena on September 29.
JODIE GOES HERBAL FOR ROBIN’S MERRY MEND

JODIE COMER has gone all woo-woo after starring in The Death Of Robin Hood.
The actress, who plays a medieval nurse Sister Brigid in the big-screen blockbuster, enrolled on a herbalism course to help her reconnect with nature and health.
Jodie said: “I love that she could see the alchemy and polarity within life, like the light and dark, and how each is a part of us and essential.That’s something I really remind myself of now.
“Also, I was always intrigued by herbalism. Through my research, I took a little bit of time aside and – I’m a total novice – I took an at-home apothecary course and I’m learning about herbalism.”
Clearly won over by medieval medicine, Jodie added: “There was something about reconnecting with this knowledge that I felt so alien to, and felt like it should be a fundamental part of each and every one of our experiences.
“That’s how it has inspired me on a personal level.”
In the the new film, Robin Hood is gravely injured after a battle.
But while Jodie may be ready to ditch modern medicine, her co-star Hugh Jackman is not.
