Amy, 39, has named her baby girl Soraya Rose Jeanne Christophers. She was born in a water pool, weighing 6lbs 7oz, at the Royal Cornwall Hospital on September 5 at 7.30pm.

Proud mum Amy told The Sun: “She’s lush. I’m so in love.”

She added: “Everyone told me to be open about birth plan and not to set in my ways but I manifested my perfect birth.

“I can’t thank the midwives and team at the birth centre at Treliske Hospital enough. They were brilliant, especially Naomi my midwife who allowed my birth plan to play out and also put up with my Queen playlist and me singing during contractions.

“The Queen soundtrack has always been my favourite and the lyrics to all of Freddie’s songs have taken on new meaning since being in labour. It was really special that she was born on Freddie’s birthday.”

Explaining the meaning behind her daughter’s unique names, Amy added: “Soraya means a cluster of stars. It’s such a beautiful name. I love the way it sounds and it’s not a name that you hear too often.

“We are all made from stars and I wanted something that connected to the celestial world.

“Her middle name, Rose, is a name me and my partner agreed upon straight away, we just love it.

“I joke and say ‘Rose’ has become the new ‘Louise’ for our generation of mums, but I love roses – they are my favourite flower – and also it connects to my love of history with the War of the Roses and the Tudor Rose.

“Then Jeanne is a mixture of both my grandmothers’ names – Jean and Anne – who have both passed away.

“It’s also a Medieval Queen’s name from France. I was planning on adding in a footballer’s name too because of how much I love the sport, but she’ll run out of room on her passport!”

Soraya Rose Jeanne is Amy’s happy ending after a difficult search for love over the past decade.

She signed up for the first series of Married At First Sight UK in 2021.

Amy fell in love with husband Joshua Christie “within a week”, but was left disappointed by the rows included in their edit, which she says didn’t accurately reflect their relationship.

While her MAFS romance didn’t work out, Amy didn’t give up hope.

After a string of bad romances she found her ultimate fairytale with Darren – her old friend of 23 years.

The pair both grew up in Cornwall town Falmouth, but when Amy moved to London for her career as a sports journalist they lost touch.

They didn’t reconnect until until last year – when they matched on dating app Hinge.

Whilst Darren is already a dad-of-two, their newborn is Amy’s first little one.

She opened up about her tragic baby loss before finding fame, saying the heartbreaking ordeal “absolutely broke me” after one of her twins died and the second had to be medically terminated due to complications.

Reflecting on how she feels about the losses now, she says: “It never really goes away” but after a nervous pregnancy she’s now thrilled to have welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world.
