Mark Allen, 40, won the 2025 edition by beating Zhou Yuelong 9-8 in a thrilling final.
However, Allen has withdrawn from the 2026 tournament for personal reasons, meaning that there will certainly be a new winner.
And one of the favourites to clinch the crown is English star Judd Trump who is desperate to get back to winning ways after recently losing his world No1 spot.
Legendary cueist Ronnie O’Sullivan has decided to skip this competition.
But Trump still faces tough competition from the likes of World champion Wu Yize, Shaun Murphy and Neil Robertson.
