THOMAS CARTY’s team insist Dave Allen should’ve been DISQUALIFIED after sending the Irishman tumbling out the ring.
Carty, 30, FELL THROUGH THE ROPES in the pair’s heavyweight dust-up on the undercard of Katie Taylor‘s swansong in Dublin last Saturday.

The Irishman appeared to lose consciousness after being hit on the back of the head during a clinch against the ropes.
Carty’s head crashed off a ringside stool before he worryingly hit the floor at speed.

Ringside medics immediately rushed to his aide and gave him oxygen before transporting him to the hospital for further assessment.
Carty has yet to break his silence on his viral tumble, which led to the fight being ruled a no contest.

But in an interview with Sky Sports, his manager Mike Ofo said: “I am very disappointed about what happened on Saturday night at Croke Park and the untimely halt to what should have been the crowning achievement of Thomas’ career so far.
“Thomas was pumped to be fighting on such an historic event in front of such an enormous crowd at the home of Irish sport and was gutted by the bizarre turn of events.
“What happened was plain for all to see with Allen blatantly fouling him twice in quick succession in response to Thomas’ punishing jab that immediately marked up Allen’s face.
“The second, illegal rabbit punch to the back of Thomas’ head knocked him clean through the ropes and there is only one outcome under the rules of boxing in those circumstances – a DQ loss for Allen.”

Allen cut a shocked figure after seeing Carty, who had to have a brain scan at the hospital, fail to get back to his feet after going through the ropes.
And he was equally as left flabbergasted by the bout being ruled a no-contest, a result he plans to appeal.
In a video on his YouTube channel, ‘The Rhino’ said: “”It wasn’t a big shot, I tried to clip him round the ear as I always do, and he’s turned his head into it. It’s gone round the back of the head.
“From there on, I don’t know. It’s not for me to say what’s happened.
“He’s a good guy, I do like him … I’ve caught him behind the head, not on purpose, he’s turned into and he’s gone through the ropes.

“At the time, I said to the referee, ‘Are you not going to count?’ If that was in the middle of the ring I’d have won by stoppage.
“I lost my rag a little and said, ‘Look, he’s jumped out the f***ing ring.’ I couldn’t quite believe it, really, I was a bit shocked.
“It is a no contest. I probably will speak to the boxing board and ask if it can be overturned to a win.
