MOROCCO star Ayoub El Kaabi was rushed to hospital after suffering a horrific broken leg.

The striker was in action for Greek side Olympiacos in the match against Volos.

El Kaabi, 33′, challenge for the ball but got his leg stuck underneath the opposition goalkeeper.

Once the stopper was off the striker, he could be seen rolling around in pain on the pitch.

It was revealed that he had suffered a horrific broken leg as he screamed in pain.

Players from both teams urshered medical staff onto the pitch to help the El Kaabi.

The star was stretchered off the pitch and rushed to hospital for further checks.

Reports in Greece have claimed that he will undergo surgery today putting his season at risk.

The injury occurred just before half-time with Volos stopper Marios Siampanis shocked by the incident.

He could be seen bursting into tears as El Kaabi recieved treatment.

Olympiacos released a statement following the injury to the star.

It read: “Ayoub, in this difficult moment, the entire Olympiacos family stands by your side with all our hearts.

“Your strength, passion and fighting spirit have inspired us so many times.

“Now it’s our turn to send all that strength back to you.

Olympiacos drew the game 1-1 leaving them second in the league behind rivals AEK Athens.

El Kaabi joined the Greek Super League giants in 2023 and has been regular in the team ever since.

The striker has scored an impressive 82 goals in 139 appearances.
