JAMIE VARDY has completed a sensational return to English football after signing for Burnley.
The Premier League legend, 39, has put pen to paper on a deal at Turf Moor running until the end of the current season.
Vardy arrives following a spell in Italy with Cremonese, having previously brought the curtain down on his iconic 13-year stay at Leicester.
Burnley confirmed the deal in a club statement, describing their new recruit as an experienced forward renowned for his pace, clinical finishing and relentless work rate.
Clarets boss Nicky Hayen said: “We are delighted to welcome Jamie to Burnley FC.”
He added: “His experience and leadership will be invaluable to our squad, and we believe he can make a significant impact on our campaign.”
