Johannes was confirmed as a co-host alongside Emma Willis and Josh Widdicombe earlier this year.

The 39-year-old promised Strictly fans he was not hanging up his dancing shoes for good despite his new role, and true to his word, he puts on a fierce performance in the first look trailer for the 2026 series.

The video shows all the pros and judges dancing on the studio lot, with Motsi Mabuse opening proceedings in a shimmering gold floor length gown.

Johannes is then seen leading the moves with his fellow pros before the camera moves across to head judge Shirley Ballas.

Shirley, 65, proves she’s still the Queen of Latin in a red dress as she dances with Vito Coppola, while Anton Du Beke performs with Katya Jones.

Meanwhile Craig Revel Horwood is seen on the DJ decks as the music switches from a version of Sledgehammer to an upbeat latin track.

The five new Strictly pros are also seen in action before Johannes joins Emma and Josh to make their entrance down some steps.

The video ends with everyone raising their arms to the sky before striking a pose and streamers going off.

The caption read: “Let’s get this party started! Watch brand-new #Strictly on iPlayer from 19 Sept⁣. ⁣

After his name was announced as one of the three new hosts, Johannes said: “The question I’m getting asked the most is, ‘Are you not going to dance any more?’

“Now listen, I’m not hanging up my dancing shoes yet.

“I will definitely be throwing some shapes and moving my hips – I can’t not, that’s my life.

“For it to be just taken away would be a travesty for me. There’s a plan in action, that’s all I’m going to say. You’re going to see JoJo!”

Strictly Come Dancing starts on Saturday, September 19 on BBC One.
