A MAN has tragically died after a car crashed into a tree near a Cotswolds village.
The emergency services were called to the scene near Mickleton, Gloucestershire, earlier this morning, September 5, following reports of a collision.
A Ford C-Max was found to have left the road and crashed into a tree at around 7.30am on Bakers Hill, between Mickleton and Hidcote.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Constabulary said that a 36-year-old man from the Stratford area was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Cops are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in contact.
