THIS is the horrifying moment a convicted murderer kidnaps a 15-year-old girl at knifepoint before sexually assaulting her in an eight-hour ordeal.

Paul Sharpe, 56, bundled the teen into a car as she walked through Altrincham in Greater Manchester, on May 18 at around 7.30pm.

Police have since released CCTV footage showing the moment the vile killer grabs the girl and forces her into his motor.

Footage shows the silver car driving along a residential road, as the girl walks past.

The car passes the gates of a house before disappearing behind some hedges.

A man in high-vis can then be seen walking up to the gates of the property before crossing back over towards the girl.

The girl and the man then disappear from sight behind a hedgerow and later footage shows the silver motor driving off.

Video shows the vehicle travelling along several roads before eventually coming into a car park.

Police bodycam footage then shows the moment officers pull up alongside the silver car and find Sharpe in the back seat.

He is pulled from the motor and arrested by responding officers before he’s bundled into the back of a police van.

Sharpe was previously jailed for strangling his wife to death in 2000 after she threatened to break up with him.

During the harrowing ordeal he tied up the girl’s wrists and feet and abused her after grabbing her off the street.

Minshull Street Crown Court heard the local radio DJ drove to an airport car park after kidnapping the girl.

He then moved around different car parks in the area and forced the teen to drink alcohol before sexually assaulting her in a harrowing eight-hour ordeal.

He has now been jailed for life with a minimum of eight years after he pleaded guilty to six offences including kidnapping, sexual assault and threats with a blade.

Police launched a probe after the teen was reported missing and investigators trawled through CCTV.

Cops eventually tracked Sharpe to a hotel car park in Knutsford, Cheshire – around seven miles from where the girl was last seen.

In a police interview, the killer claimed he was “feeling bad” and believed it would be easier to kidnap a child rather than an adult.

Sharpe also told officers he intended to release her when it got light and then take his own life.

He claimed his motives weren’t sexual, but admitted to being aroused after smelling his victim’s feet.

A CPS spokesperson previously said: “In this terrifying incident the victim was held captive for eight hours while Sharpe forced her to drink alcohol and sexually assaulted her.

“Sharpe gave no thought to the impact his actions, for his own depraved reasons, would have on his victim.

“Although his guilty pleas today have spared her from the ordeal of a trial, I would like to thank the girl and her family for supporting this prosecution and ensuring this dangerous offender is back where he belongs.”
