ROCK band Squeeze cancelled a concert after a worker was crushed to death while working under their tour bus.
The Cool for Cats group was scheduled to play at Wolf Trap National Park in Vienna as part of their US tour with Adam Ant and Haircut 100.
The victim was working under the bus when a supporting apparatus failed, causing the vehicle to collapse on top of them.
They later died from their injuries, police said.
Squeeze confirmed the cancellation of their Thursday night performance.
The band said: “Squeeze are deeply saddened and shocked by an incident that occurred at the venue earlier today, which resulted in the loss of a life.

“After discussions with the venue and the relevant authorities, the decision was made to cancel this evening’s performance.
“We will work with the promoter and venue regarding the possibility of rescheduling the show and will communicate further information to ticket holders as soon as it is available.
“Our thoughts remain with everyone affected by this tragic event.”
A statement published on social media by Wolf Trap National Park stated: “There was an accident involving a member of the community at Wolf Trap National Park today, tragically resulting in a loss of life. Out of respect, tonight’s show has been cancelled.”

Squeeze formed in London during the 1970s and rose to fame with hit tracks such as Cool For Cats, Up The Junction and Labelled With Love.
Fronted by the songwriting duo Glenn Tilbrook and Chris Difford, more than 30 musicians have featured as members over the years – including TV presenter Jools Holland.
They are next due to play in Ohio and Illinois over the weekend.
Their 16th studio release, Trixies, came out in March.
