The Magpies haven’t beaten the Cherries at home in the league since 2019.
You may remember Justin Kluivert’s hat-trick at St James’ Park in 2025 and the Dutchman forms one part of a dynamic attacking unit that also includes Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson.
However, Newcastle have started brightly with four points to show from games against Liverpool and Spurs.

Nottingham Forest v Tottenham
Roberto De Zeri’s side are one of three clubs yet to score a Premier League goal this season.
The Italian tactician will be hoping for a positive response at the City Ground, where the hosts have struggled in recent times.
Forest only won four home league games last season and defeat to Leeds continued that trend in Matchweek 1.

Manchester City v Coventry
You can’t blame the Sky Blues for losing to Arsenal at the Emirates but their defeat to Hull on home soil was a terrible result.
Erling Haaland and company put four past Crystal Palace last Friday and they’ll be eyeing another confident victory.

Fulham v Crystal Palace
The Cottagers have only won one of their last eight meetings between these sides in all competitions.
Both teams are searching for their first point of the season and things are looking rather bleak for the Eagles after Daniel Munoz followed Maxence Lacroix out the door.
Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta are unavailable for Saturday’s London derby.

Brighton v Leeds
This will be the Whites’ fifth attempt to score a Premier League goal at the Amex after four unsuccessful visits since their return to the top flight in 2020.
A Diego Gomez brace helped the Seagulls to a 3-0 win in last season’s corresponding fixture but Daniel Farke’s men took revenge at Elland Road in May thanks to Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s 96th-minute winner.
Brighton are the joint-top scorers in the league at this early stage while only Arsenal and Hull have conceded fewer than Leeds.
Daniel Farke’s side won just two league games on the road in 2025/26.

Brentford v Sunderland
The Bees have started the new campaign in fine style but they ran out of puff at Elland Road last weekend and were forced to share the points after a dominant first half.
Igor Thiago scored twice in a 3-0 win over the Black Cats at the Gtech back in January and Keith Andrews will be hoping for a repeat.
Sunderland denied Fulham a shot on target last time out but they erred away from home at Ipswich on the opening weekend.

Hull v Aston Villa
The Tigers have surprised their doubters with two impressive wins (and clean sheets) out the gate.
In contrast, the Villains haven’t even had a shot on target yet!
That being said, Unai Emery’s men were competitive against Arsenal on Monday night and will be hopeful of kickstarting their campaign this weekend.

Everton v Manchester United
It’s too early to get a proper read on the Red Devils as they flopped at Hull before responding in swaggering style against Ipswich.
Benjamin Sesko scored the game’s only goal the last time they visited Hill Dickinson Stadium.
As for the Toffees, four points from two games (plus a 4-0 win in the Carabao Cup) makes for pleasant reading but the club’s transfer activity has frustrated fans.
David Moyes has been left with a thin squad and the departure of Iliman Ndiaye to Manchester City may hinder their progress.

Arsenal v Chelsea
Matchweek 3’s main event is a mouthwatering prospect and not just because it pits London rivals against one another.
Sunday’s late kick-off is an appealing style clash between the Gunners’ airtight defence and the Blues’ score-one-more-than-you approach.
Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro have instantly formed a formidable trio but a trip to the Emirates represents a stiff challenge for Xabi Alonso and his troops.
Arsenal conceded just 11 league goals at home in 2025/26.
