A FORMER Manchester United coach has sensationally been re-appointed to the job he walked away from less than two months ago.
Carlos Queiroz stepped down as Ghana‘s head coach following the end of their World Cup campaign in July.

But a mere 60 days after their last 32 exit, The Black Stars have handed the veteran manager the reins again.
A statement from the Ghanian Football Association read: “The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Carlos Queiroz for his appointment as Head Coach of the Black Stars for the next phase of the team’s programme.
“The GFA believes Queiroz’s extensive international experience, technical expertise and knowledge of the Black Stars position him strongly to lead the team into this next chapter.
“Further details on the new mandate and the Black Stars’ upcoming programme will be announced in due course, as the GFA and Coach Queiroz turn their focus to building a successful new phase for Ghana on the international stage.”

The exact length of Queiroz’s new agreement with the GFA is currently unknown.
But one thing’s for sure: he’s excited to get back to work with his players.
Queiroz, who had two stints as Sir Alex Ferguson‘s No.2 at Old Trafford, wrote on his Instagram: ” It is with immense pride and honour that I confirm my continuation as Head Coach of the Black Stars of Ghana.
“Serving Ghana is far more than coaching a football team. It is a privilege, a responsibility and a mission to honour one of Africa’s greatest football nations and its incredible and passionate football People.

Queiroz’s first game of his second stint in charge of Ghana will be an 2028 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ivory Coast.
