But fans have picked up on an on-screen mistake after Dawn’s death from a sudden haemorrhage and cardiac arrest.

When her fiancé Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) discovered Dawn dead in hospital, a clock behind him read 6.20pm.

Later, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) informed Jimmy’s widow Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) about the heartbreaking update.

However, a clock behind Nicola read 5.50pm – before either she or Laurel could have known about Dawn’s death.

One viewer wrote on X: “Dawn died at 20 past 6, and Laurel told Nicola about it at 10 to 6, Laurel is a time traveller #Emmerdale.”

Another joked: “I guess that explains her hairstyle and fashion sense…”

Confirming the timeframe, Olivia Bromley – who played Dawn – said on This Morning prior to the dramatic episodes: “We’ve got a whole week based on one day, basically.”

Jimmy lost his life after he crashed into Dawn and Joe’s wedding marquee – with only the two of them inside at the time.
