A DAD murdered a woman then dumped her in a canal with his daughter who weighed her body down with paving slabs.
John Anslow, 65, attacked 36-year-old Chereiss Bailey at his home in West Bromwich before calling daughter Hayley-Marie Ferguson for help.

Ferguson, 42, packed paving slabs and travelled by taxi to her dad’s house and claimed she was helping him with the garden.
The pair were caught on CCTV taking Chereiss’ body from the home in Anslow’s wheelchair to a nearby canal where she was thrown in the water.
Mum Chereiss was discovered on October 7 submerged in the water with a washing line cord attached to the paving slabs.
Anslow has now been found guilty of murder while Ferguson was convicted of assisting an offender and preventing a lawful and decent burial.
Birmingham Crown Court heard vulnerable Chereiss, who was a sex worker, was last seen on September 27.
CCTV showed her entering Anslow’s home where prosecutors believe she was murdered in a bedroom.
Michael Duck KC, prosecuting, said: “During that attack she sustained a number of facial fractures, bruising to many parts of her body [and] was ultimately strangled and very likely bitten to intimate parts of her body.”
After dropping off the paving slabs, Ferguson attended a Peaky Blinders-themed event.

She returned to her dad’s home in the early hours of September 29 and set about covering up the brutal murder.
On October 4 last year, a member of the public reported that a woman had been killed and “disposed of” in the canal network at Great Bridge.
Police launched an investigation and went to Ferguson’s home where they found blood-stained clothing in a wheelie bin.
Following comments made by Ferguson while in custody, her dad Anslow was also arrested.

Three days later, on October 7, the body of Chereiss was discovered in a canal near Ryders Green Road.
Both Ferguson and Anslow will be sentenced at a later date.
Paying tribute, Chereiss’ devastated family said: “Chereiss was a much-loved daughter, sister, mother, auntie, granddaughter and friend, but those words alone could never explain what she meant to us.
“She had a huge personality, a beautiful heart and a way of making her presence known wherever she went.
“Life was never quiet when Chereiss was around, and we would give absolutely anything to have that noise back.
“The hardest part is knowing how much life she still had left to live.
“There should have been more birthdays, more Christmases, more laughter, more family memories and so many ordinary days that we never imagined we would have to live without her.
