Three from four is a formidable strike rate, and no active player has more than his three Golden Boots except Thierry Henry and Mohamed Salah on four apiece.

One season is worth knowing about, though. In 2024/25 he was ever-present, scored 22, and still finished third behind Salah on 29 and Isak on 23. Even last term, on his way to winning it, he went eight matches without an open-play goal before ending the run against Fulham in February.

What the bet depends on

A team bet absorbs a bad month across a squad. A single-player bet rests on one man, so it is worth being clear about what has to hold.

Fitness. Haaland has been durable, with 132 appearances in four seasons, but 38 games is a long campaign, and City are into their first year without Pep Guardiola managing his minutes.

Staying ahead of the field. This is what shifted in 2024/25. It does not take a collapse from Haaland, just a career season from somebody else, as Salah’s 29 showed that year.

Who else is in it

Haaland’s main challengers are priced a long way behind him, which is the other side of the 8/11.

Viktor Gyokeres scored 14 in his first Arsenal season and is around 20/1. Igor Thiago pushed Haaland closest last term with 22 for Brentford. Beyond that the market thins out quickly, which is both the argument for the bet and the reason the price is short.

The one structural change worth noting: Manchester City have replaced Guardiola and spent a club-record £116m on Elliot Anderson. A different manager means a different system, and Haaland’s numbers have been built inside a very specific one.

When the free bets turn up

Your £1 is locked in until the season settles on 30 May 2027, and Coral do not allow cash out on qualifying bets.

The free bets land within 24 hours of that and expire four days later, so the first week of June. The Premier League will have finished the day your bet settled. You will have ten £5 free bets and four days to spend them.
