COPS have arrested three people after a woman was left fighting for her life after reportedly being shot with an air rifle.
The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following the alleged horror attack yesterday evening.
Police were called to Windsor Street in Thurnscoe, near Barnsley, at around 9.50pm yesterday after reports of a person with a suspected firearm.
It was reported that a woman had been shot with an air rifle.
Officers and ambulance crews raced to the scene and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
She suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital in a stable but life-threatening condition.

Cops recovered an air rifle from the scene before launching a search for the suspect.
A 26-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.
She remains in custody.
Then today, cops arrested two more people as the investigation continued.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
A 37-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Both men remain in police custody.
A police scene remains in place on Windsor Street as detectives continue their investigation.
DI Claire Moss, from the Armed Crime Team, said: “The thoughts of all those involved in this investigation remain with the victim and her family in the wake of such a vicious attack.
“I am thankful for the work of the first officers at the scene and emergency services staff who attended the scene and provided essential and immediate medical care to the victim.
“We are carrying out detailed inquiries to get a better understanding of the circumstances which resulted in the victim being seriously injured.
