MANCHESTER UNITED youngster Chido Obi is in talks over a loan move with Dutch outfit Willem II – with several other clubs negotiating with Old Trafford chiefs.
The 18-year-old is in a race against the clock to get regular senior minutes, with the Eredivisie transfer window deadline closing at 11pm BST on Wednesday.
The next step in his development would be to get consistent game-time at first-team level and Willem II have made an offer.
Obi, a Denmark Under-21 international, also had interest from Dutch side Feyenoord earlier in the window.
Obi has struggled since breaking into the first team under former head coach Ruben Amorim towards the end of the 2024-25 season.
The former Arsenal youth star made seven Premier League appearances and one in the FA Cup, before dropping down to the Under-21s last term.

Obi scored 20 goals in 37 games for United’s academy sides after helping out with Darren Fletcher‘s Under-18 group’s run to the FA Youth Cup final, when United lost 2-1 to rivals City.
Obi has been left out of United’s opening Premier League 2 victories over Ipswich Town and Leicester City.
Many expected a move to Bundesliga outfit Cologne in the summer but that deal failed to materialise as City’s Reigan Heskey joined permanently instead.
United have focused on developing academy talent through strategic loan spells while monetising select player exits.

United sanctioned the sale of 17-year-old Louie Bradbury to Stoke City on a three-year-deal on deadline day, despite Bradbury signing his pro contract with United on August 12.
