Anyway, B05 is a comfy family motor with squishy seats and a sophisticated multi-link rear axle (good for ride and handling). There are two Isofix in the back.
With 215hp under your right foot, there’s plenty of oomph when you need it. Even launch control.
But glide along with the flow of traffic and life is smooth and quiet and easy.

You’ll appreciate the shortcut button on the steering wheel to switch off the beeps and bongs and the dastardly lane-keep assist the law now demands.
The iPad-style central screen controls most of the car’s functions. Just like a Tesla.
Premium touches include frameless doors and flush door handles. Just like a Mercedes.
Illuminated air vents give the place a cocktail bar vibe at night.
They also helpfully flash red before you reverse into something you shouldn’t.
Your phone is your car key. Or tap a hotel-room-style key card on the driver’s-side wing mirror to lock/unlock everything.
Other observations. Heat pump as standard. That’s good. It’s surprising how many car firms charge for that.

Perhaps I should also explain that Chinese newbie Leapmotor is part of the giant Stellantis group.
So you will see its cars at Fiat, Peugeot, Citroen, Vauxhall and Jeep dealers — and can get them serviced there too.
Also worth noting is that B05 is B zero 5, not BO 5 because that means something else entirely.
Right now, Leapmotor has its own £1,500 “Leap Grant” which matches the official Government electric car grant for many European manufacturers.
So B05 is currently priced at £28,995 for private buyers, down from £30,495. Motability excluded.
