FILM lovers across the UK can enjoy a bargain this weekend as over 500 cinemas slash ticket prices.

Screenings of a number of blockbusters can be snapped up for less than £5, with customers urged to buy tickets quickly.

National Cinema Weekend is returning this Saturday and Sunday, seeing Britain’s biggest cinema chains offering £4 tickets.

Over 530 venues, including Vue, Cineworld and Odeon screens, have already confirmed their participation, with more locations expected to join the deal in the coming days.

Brits can select any film, any format and any seats at the £4 price, including 4DX premium experiences at Cineworld and Lux and UltraLux recliners at Vue.

Film fans hoping to catch Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey on IMAX can snap up tickets for just £6 at select Cineworld venues this weekend.

This is a massive price drop of at least £15 for the blockbuster tickets, which has been sold out on IMAX for months since the release.

A host of other exciting movies can be enjoyed over the weekend too, including Spider-Man Brand New Day, The Death of Robin Hood starring Hugh Jackman, and family favourites such as Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie.

Cult classics such as The Hunger Games Catching Fire, The Terminator and the full Harry Potter series are also returning to certain venues for special showings over the weekend.
