SIR CHRIS HOY is back with his Tour de 4 in Glasgow this weekend.
The Olympic legend is hosting another charity cycling event as he battles prostate cancer.
Hoy‘s inaugural event in 2025 raised an incredible £3million for cancer support and research initiatives in the UK, including Breast Cancer Now, Cure Leukaemia, Maggie’s, Prostate Cancer UK and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Plus, the six-time Olympic gold medallist is looking to change society’s perceptions of living with cancer.
When is Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4?
The event takes place in Glasgow this weekend on Sunday, September 6.
It starts and finishes at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Emirates Arena.

The day lasts from 8am to 5pm, depending on the route.
Chris Hoy Tour de 4 routes
There are four different rides for all abilities, ensuring everyone can get involved.
Red Ride (56 miles/92km)
- Demanding challenge for top cyclists.
- Around 3,300 to 3,700 feet of climbing.
- The route leaves the Velodrome northeast via Cumbernauld Road toward Mollinsburn, Twechar, and Kilsyth.
- There is a climb up Tak-Ma-Doon Road to Carronbridge, and then around the Carron Valley Reservoir to Fintry and Killearn before heading back to Glasgow via Strathblane and Torrance.

Blue Ride (37 miles/60km)
- A good challenge for casual cyclists. Perfect for those at intermediate level.
Green Ride (1 km)
- Family ride around the grounds of the Velodrome.
Yellow Ride (Static Bike)
- Those suffering with cancer or not comfortable on the roads can get involved in static bike challenges from inside the Velodrome.
