MCVITIE’S has launched a brand-new “indulgent” addition to its Hobnob range – and they’re available in supermarkets today.
The much-loved iconic oaty biscuits now feature a sweet and salty twist.
McVitie’s Hobnobs Oaty Cookies Salted Caramel are the latest addition to the brand’s oat biscuit range, putting a salty spin on the iconic treat.
The new teatime biscuits combine milk chocolate chips and an “indulgent” salted caramel flavour with the crunch of the wholegrain oat staple.
Available in Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda from today (September 1), the tasty treats are set to retail for £1.75 a pack.
And the new flavour has already caught the eye of eagle-eyed Hobnob fans, with shoppers commenting on Facebook they “like the look of these”.

This comes as snack giant has launched a series of sweet and salty products over the course of the summer, with the introduction of White Hobnobs as well as savoury Penguin Bites.
Brand manager at McVitie’s, Eleonore de Saint Perier, said: “We’ve seen a fantastic response to Hobnobs Oaty Cookies since they launched last year, so introducing Salted Caramel flavour is an exciting next step.
“It’s a flavour people continue to love, and combined with Hobnobs’ signature oaty crunch, we think they’re a delicious addition to the range and can’t wait for fans to give them a try.”
The original oat biscuit was first launched in 1985, with the milk chocolate version hitting shelves in 1987.

Similar to a flapjack–style digestive biscuit, the Hobnob was voted the third most popular biscuit in the UK to dunk into tea.
Other variations include Dark Chocolate Hobnobs, Oaty Flapjacks, and Vanilla and Caramel Oaty Snaps.
