LIVERPOOL have sent Keyrol Figueroa on loan to Port Vale for the 2026/27 season.
Figueroa is the son of Premier League cult hero Maynor Figueroa, who made 179 appearances for Wigan and Hull in the English top flight between 2007 and 2015.

The 20-year-old’s dad is also the most- capped player for the Honduras national team with 181 caps.
However, Figueroa Jnr., who is a forward, will be hoping to score more goals than his father, who was a defender playing left-back or centre-back.

And to help him on that journey, he has been given a birthday gift of being sent on loan to League Two side Port Vale.
Figueroa moved to England from Honduras at an early age, and eventually joined the Liverpool academy.

He made his Under-18 debut for the Reds in October 2021 at the age of 15 before signing his first professional contract with the club in May 2024.
The winger stepped up the Under-21s in 2024/25 and was nominated for the PL2 Player of the Month award in January while finishing the campaign with 12 goals in 15 appearances.
But now it has been deemed his development is best served in a new environment.
A statement from Port Vale manager Jon Brady announcing the transfer said: “Keyrol comes from an outstanding football environment at Liverpool and has a really exciting attacking profile.

Figueroa’s exploits have also seen him star for the Honduras national team after switching to them from the United States, whom he had represented at youth level.
