What 9/11 anniversary events are taking place today?

On Wednesday, September 9, a drone featuring 2,977 lights illuminated New York City, with one light for each person killed in the 9/11 attacks.

The lights then formed the outline of the twin towers, giving onlookers an incredible memorial service they won’t soon forget.

And as today marks exactly 25 years since September 11, 2001, let’s take a look at what commemoration events are taking place across the US today.

The National September 11 Memorial and Museum will hold its annual ceremony in New York City today.
