Billionaire Clive Palmer’s 56-metre superyacht has pulled into the Brisbane River on Thursday ahead of the Riverfire weekend.
The $40 million Italian-built “Australia” – which flies under the Maltese flag – features a jacuzzi, two sundecks and multiple bars.
It attracted controversy last year after being allowed to park in one of the best spots on the river, because it was too big to fit in the area set aside for recreational boats.
The vessel came from Southport and worked its way down the Brisbane River after midday on Thursday, before mooring outside Howard Smith Wharves.

It has attracted attention after running aground multiple times on the Gold Coast and in Singapore in recent years. The boat was spotted near Cape York in far north Queensland in June.
Dozens of boats are expected to come onto the Brisbane River for the Riverfire weekend, with entertainment events to start from 4pm.
