Selections based on a good track
Race 1
6. A Little Bit Dusty is a Shamus Award colt making his debut in this for a top stable. He has been fitted for this first start with a barrier trial at this track last month and he won that with ease. He looks set to begin his career with a victory. 8. Debriefing is also on debut and she’s a filly by North Pacific. She won a trial here on the same day as A Little Bit Dusty and can be expected to perform well on the strength of that performance. 9. Our Astute Lass has had one start and that resulted in a fourth at Armidale in April. She resumes here after a trial and bears close watching. 5. Peregrina Pearl debuted with an Eagle Farm last in January and resumes on the back of a trial at this track for a new stable.

4. African Diamond is first-up from a spell and has a solid record with a win and three placings from seven starts. She won her maiden at this track last November when leading throughout and resumes here after a close-up fourth in a trial at this track last month. 1. Vltava is also resuming and was a maiden winner at Newcastle in April before finishing second at Wyong and seventh at Scone. He has the ability to give this a shake. 2. Ensign Parker ran well when placed at Scone when fresh and has since been down the track at Dubbo and on the Beaumont track at Newcastle. He can lift here. 3. Gelsey had been close-up at Armidale and Quirindi either side of a spell and was midfield at Gunnedah last time out.

Race 3
13. Burning Love is a filly by The Autumn Sun making her debut after two trials and she looks to be an improver suited by the distance. 4. The Prospect failed to fire last time out but ran a solid second at Hawkesbury before that. 10. Linda’s Princess ran well when second here two starts ago before a close-up fourth at Newcastle. 3. Royal And Ready has the talent to get into the placings.
How to play it: Burning Love WIN.
Race 4
5. Gemtiki won well at this track and over this distance four starts ago when breaking her maiden. She’s run well enough in her subsequent starts and was a close-up second at Taree last time out. 6. Backhander won at Gunnedah before a last start fourth at Mudgee and thus looks within reach. 8. Samoan Roman hit the line well when nosed out at Bathurst at his second start and warrants respect. 1. Damascus Gate can race on the speed and give cheek.

Race 5
2. Amajicstar trialled well before debuting and scoring an impressive victory at Newcastle. She has plenty of speed and can go on with the job. 1. Frostisen is resuming after two trials and has shown talent with a Wyong second and a Hawkesbury win from four starts. 3. Mr Cornstar won well when leading at this track last time out and can show up again. 4. Waveton is resuming and has shown enough talent to be rated a chance.

Race 6
1. Force March is lightly raced with just four starts to his name but he has been placed in three provincial grade races and ran fourth in the other. He finished second at Wyong before being spelled and resumed with another second on the Beaumont track at Newcastle. 10. Chatoyer is a filly on debut after three trials and looks set to run well fresh. 6. Maysun resumed with a second at Bathurst and can show up with a repeat. 4. Magatama hasn’t been disgraced in both runs back from a spell and shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Race 7
1. No Statement is a handy performer on his day and is a speedy customer. He was back to near his best when a last start third at Gosford when beaten less than a length and should give plenty of cheek again. 4. In Spades ran a good race when a last start placegetter at this track and can run a forward race again. 10. Kakoda was a Tamworth winner before a Scone second and has since finished third in a Rosehill Highway before an 11th in a Randwick Highway. This is easier. 11. Triple Yes resumed with a second at Tuncurry and has claims on that effort.
