Sinn Féin is currently the most popular party among voters, the latest Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks opinion poll has suggested.

Support for the party is measured at 21%, which is up one percentage point compared to last month.

Fine Gael is down one point to 19%, while Fianna Fáil rises by a point to stand on 17% in this survey of voters, which has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1%.

The Social Democrats are unchanged on 10%. Aontú is up one point to 8%, in what is the party’s highest ever level of support in this series of polls.

Independent Ireland remain on 7% and support for both Labour and the Green Party is also unchanged at 3%.

People Before Profit-Solidarity are on 2% while support for Independents and others was gauged at 10%, which is a drop of two points.

The poll was carried out yesterday among 1,044 voters.
