Fontaines D.C. have announced a second concert at Slane Castle next summer due to demand.

The Dublin band will now play the Co Meath venue on Sunday 27 June 2027, the day after their previously announced show on Saturday 26 June.

Hayley Williams, Damien Dempsey and Madra Salach will also perform, with more acts still to be announced.

Announcing the additional date on Wednesday morning, Fontaines D.C. said tickets for the new show would be available through the pre-sale from 10am on Wednesday, with the general sale beginning at 10am on Thursday.

The second date comes just days after Fontaines D.C. announced their first Slane Castle headline show following their performance at Electric Picnic.

The band will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Oasis, Madonna, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones as headliners at the legendary outdoor venue, and will be only the third Irish act to ever headline after U2 and Thin Lizzy.
