Jellycat rival officially launches in 36 department stores across UK – and it’s in top 10 Christmas toys for 2026

A LUXURY American soft toy brand has now launched in the UK – and it could rival Jellycat.

The products are now available nationwide at a major retailer.

Mon Ami, a US-based plush toy brand, has now launched in John Lewis, as the company seeks to expand into the UK.

Available in 35 department stores and online, the collection features 60 animal characters, ranging from stuffed bears and rabbits to sea creatures and plush key-chain accessories.

The brand – translating to ‘my friend’ in French – said the products are “a nostalgic keepsake” perfect for younger children.

Its Colette the Duck even features in the retailer’s top 10 Christmas toys for this year.

The launch comes as plush toy industry in the UK continues to rise, driven by adult collectors and new products.

Founded in 2018, Mon Ami is currently sold in major US retailers including Nordstrom and Anthropologie, as well as Walmart and Amazon.
