Sligo’s Nicole Filan is all set to play the title role in the Christmas pantomime, Rapunzel, running at The Ambassador Theatre, in Dublin in December.
Nicole, daughter of Westlife’s Shane and wife, Gillian, stepped out as Rapunzel ahead for a photoshoot ahead of this year’s festive panto at The Ambassador Theatre, O’Connell Street, from 22nd December 22 2026 to January 5 2027.
With flowing locks, full panto sparkle and O’Connell Street as her backdrop, Nicole was pictured at The Ambassador Theatre and on the city’s streets as Rapunzel.
The panto will also feature Tracy Leonard Lipman as Mother Gothel and James Kelleher as Lord Mountjoy.
The show is produced by Showbiz Productions, led by Andrea Kavanagh of The Showbiz Academy, whose work with young performers and family entertainment has made her a familiar name in Irish stage circles.
Westlife are currently playing their 25th Anniversary World Tour at the 3Arena in Dublin with the 13 date concertsconcluding on September 26. Shane is joined by fellow Sligoman, Kian Egan on stage along with Nicky Byrne.
