KATE Garraway remains missing from Good Morning Britain after being pulled off air for illness, with her ITV replacement now revealed.

The popular broadcaster, 59, who opened Monday’s show with a painful-sounding hoarse throat, was then forced to go home sick mid-way through the three and a half hour episode.

While Faye Barker stood in on the spot, regular Good Morning Britain presenter Sean Fletcher was at the helm on Tuesday as Kate‘s replacement.

She has not given fans an update on her condition on social media, so she is likely still on vocal rest.

The Sun has gone to GMB for comment.

An hour into Monday’s episode, main presenters Susanna Reid and Ed Balls revealed Kate had to leave earlier than anticipated.

It came after Kate presented a news report about King Charles meeting tech bosses this week about AI, and her voice was a lot lower than usual and sounded croaky.

Susanna, 55, told ITV viewers: “As you may have noticed earlier this morning, Kate Garraway had a very hoarse voice.

“She was belting it out at the National Television Awards last week and her voice has not fully recovered.

“So we have put her on vocal rest and Faye Barker has valiantly come to the rescue and is here with the rest of this morning’s news.”

At the beginning of the instalment, one concerned fan wrote on X: “Someone send Kate home!

“She’s clearly not well, look after her please ITV! Where’s the rest of the clan!!”

Another commented: “Isn’t Kate going to lose her voice completely, being made to talk.”

The Good Morning Britain team were nominated in the Daytime category at the NTAs last week but sadly lost out to This Morning.
