The National Ploughing Championships are under way in Screggan, Co Offaly and excitement levels are high among attendees.
Up to 80,000 people are expected to attend today and while it is an annual event for many, there are a lot of first-timers taking it all in too.
The O’Donovan family travelled up from Co Cork for the day after hearing great things about it over the years – the day off school a particular draw for primary school pupils Ivor and Pearl.
“It’s the best, I love it,” Ivor told RTÉ News. “The tractors have got massive. I like looking at the old ones and the new ones.”
His little sister Pearl was excited to get a new teddy.
