Sam Aston and his pregnant wife Briony were seen attending a parenting event in Cheshire ahead of the arrival of their fourth child.

The Coronation Street actor, 33, and Briony are already parents to Sonny, five, and daughters Daisy, four, and Hazel, two.

However, in a sweet video posted on social media in May, the couple announced they were expecting another baby and featured an image of their three children along with her ultrasound.

With their fourth soon on the way, it now means that Sam – who plays Chesney Brown in the ITV soap – is just one step away from having the size of Chesney’s brood with five.

Attending the Mum & Me event in Cheshire on Monday, Briony showed off her baby bump while wearing a red gingham summer dress.

Meanwhile, Sam kept things casual in a black T-shirt and jeans as he attended the event.

The couple’s baby announcement saw their children dragged across the floor by their dad, with Hazel clutching the ultrasound pictures.

‘Here we go again… Baby Aston #4,’ they captioned the post, adding a Christmas tree emoji which appeared to hint that their new arrival is due around the festive period.

Briony, who works as a birth doula, has since revealed she will be scaling back her work ahead of the birth.

She told her Instagram followers: ‘I’ve been at a couple of births whilst heavily pregnant in the past, and I’ve found it’s just not practical with a huge bump, plus I’ll need some time to protect my headspace in the lead up to my own birth.

‘Doulas need to birth prep too!’

Sam and Briony tied the knot in May 2019 at Stock Farm on the edge of Tatton Park in Cheshire.

Their eldest child Sonny was born six weeks prematurely in 2020, with Briony spending nine days in hospital while their son recovered from jaundice.

Elsewhere at the Mum & Me event, many of Sam’s fellow soap stars, including Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh and Isabel Hodgins were in attendance.

Hollyoaks actress Jessamy Stoddart, who plays Liberty Savage, also arrived with her baby Cassie.

Meanwhile, Coronation Street’s Sonia Ibrahim, who starred as Mel Maguire, smiled from the cameras with her child in a pram.
