SAN FRANCISCO — Saris, the agentic workflow platform for banks and credit unions, today announced that Catalyst, one of the nation’s largest corporate credit unions, has reduced regulatory filing processing time by approximately 75% with Saris.

Catalyst provides payments processing, liquidity, investments, and operational infrastructure to over 1,200 credit unions nationwide. Supporting that network requires complex regulatory work where accuracy, timeliness, and oversight are critical. Previously, employees spent hours gathering information from multiple systems, validating data, investigating exceptions, and preparing regulatory submissions. The process was accurate but highly manual.

Catalyst turned to Saris to automate much of that work without sacrificing control. Saris was integrated directly into the existing filing process, eliminating the need for a major technology overhaul. Its AI agents follow Catalyst’s policies, reporting requirements and exception rules while working across the systems employees already use. Every action is recorded, while items requiring attention are surfaced for review and final decisions remain with Catalyst employees.

The impact was immediate. One process that previously required nine hours now takes 45 minutes. Saris has also achieved 99.8% field-level accuracy and 94.2% workflow-level accuracy, with human oversight at every meaningful decision point.

“The productivity gains are great, but what excites me most is the morale increase the team is seeing from not having to do this manual process. It’s huge,” said Diana Hennel, CTO and SVP at Catalyst. “Employees can now consistently complete the work during their scheduled shifts, with fewer errors and less time spent entering data. That allows us to direct more attention toward compliance analysis, risk management and the services our network of credit unions relies on. We’re now exploring additional opportunities to apply Saris’ agentic AI across other operations.”

“Financial institutions do not need another AI tool that creates more work for their employees,” said Danial Jameel, CEO of Saris. “They need AI that can operate within their existing systems, complete complex processes and recognize when human judgment is required. Catalyst shows that institutions can move beyond experimentation and put agentic AI to work in a highly controlled environment without adding risk or compromising accountability.”
